Hey there! Thanks for stopping by to learn a little more about me.

I am the self-published author of The Brookehaven Vampires Series. In 2010 I self-published my first novel, Laney. Laney is the first of several installments telling her story. The sequel to Laney, Darkness, will be released in the summer of 2011.

I began writing about The Brookehaven Vampires to curb my vampire addiction and turn it into something productive. My passion for The Brookehaven Vampires world drives me. I love the way their world consumes me and I love how the characters take on a life of their own and write their own stories.

I grew up in the small town of Red Bluff, CA and now reside just outside of the Sacramento area. Before beginning my writing career, I was a fulltime homeschooling mom. I still homeschool my kids fulltime, but thankfully, they are now old enough to work somewhat independently.

A few random things about me:

I’d leave my hubby for Mickey Mouse.
I’m a vegetarian, a homeschooling mom, and a self-published author. I’ve grown accustomed to criticism, doesn’t mean I enjoy it; I’m just used to it. ;)
I give my vehicles names and pretend they are dragons. My current car’s name is Heira (here-ruh). She is my beautiful blue dragon that carries us wherever we need to go.
I have an overactive imagination (see above comment for confirmation). ;)
I have an irrational fear of the color red, but I love red roses. (Pretty sure my fear can be linked back to a certain horror movie character because stripes freak me out as well).
I love to sleep, but I don’t like going to bed. I have awesome vivid dreams that make my reality seem so very boring.
